[True Story] What’s Your Excuse This Time… 🧐
Back in the day, my assistant (we’ll call her “Annie”) regularly came to the office late on Mondays because she liked to party a little too much on the weekends 🍻
Annie always had a positive attitude and a personality that you could not stay mad at… plus she always got her work done.
Before a long weekend, I jokingly reminded her to ‘be on time’ the following Tuesday... no excuses, even though I knew she would be late.
Tuesday came and went and I received a call on Wednesday saying, "I will not be in".
I felt she was taking advantage of the situation and I cut her off and replied, “What’s your excuse this time…”
Annie started to cry uncontrollably and shockingly replied, "I just killed my boyfriend."
I started to laugh and told her that was a good one, now get into work.
But it wasn’t a joke…
Hours before, the couple was at Hilton Head, drinking and riding in two separate golf carts.
Annie tossed a wine bottle to her boyfriend, who tried to catch it and fell out of the cart. She hit him and killed him instantly.
There was a very good chance that she was not returning to Canada and she would be charged in his death.
It's a long story but the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) got involved while the investigation went on.
She ended up getting off the charges and served no jail time.
Here's the twist…
About a year and a half afterwards, guess who she was dating!?
The very same RCMP officer who was investigating her.

Day parting Strategy using Hourly SP Reports
Hourly Sponsored Product Report tells you how sponsored ads are performing Hour by Hour. You can find which hours work best for you in terms of Conversions, which hours have high CPC’s etc..
Analyze Hourly Sponsored Product Hourly Report data in the following way:
Download last 30 days report from Sponsored Reports section
Create Pivot on Time and analyse Spends, Conversion and CPC
Go to Conditional Formatting and use “Color Scales” to highlight Spends, Conversion and CPC Low to High.
How to use conditional formatting:
Sales - Highest color scale will be green, lowest will be red
CPC - Highest color scale will be red, lowest will be green
Conversion - Highest color scale will be green, lowest will be red
Use the following framework to know when to increase bids/ budgets and when to reduce them.
